Privacy Policy

This privacy policy applies both to your use of this website (drive-right.de) and to the app “Drive Right”.

2. This Website: Google Analytics

When you visit this website, we use Google Analytics — but only with your prior consent — a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; “Google”).

Data processed: pages viewed, time on page, referrer URL, approximate location (country/region, derived from a truncated IP address), device and browser type, and interaction events (e.g. clicks). Your IP address is automatically shortened by Google within the EEA and is not stored in full.

Cookies: Google Analytics sets cookies (including _ga, _ga_<container-id>) with a lifespan of up to 2 years. Usage data collected in Google Analytics is retained for a maximum of 14 months and is automatically deleted afterwards.

No advertising features: We have disabled Google Signals and personalised advertising features (remarketing, cross-device tracking). Data is used solely for audience/traffic analysis, not for advertising.

Legal basis: Processing takes place solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the cookie banner. If you do not consent, no analytics script is loaded and no cookies are set.

Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR) by changing your selection via the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer of this page.

International data transfers: Google also processes data in the USA. This transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework of 10 July 2023 (Art. 45 GDPR), as Google LLC is certified under this framework; alternatively, the transfer relies on the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Google.

Opt-out: You can additionally prevent Google Analytics from collecting data across all websites by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

3. The App “Drive Right”: Data Collected and Purpose

“Drive Right” uses Unity Ads to display advertisements within the app. Unity Technologies may automatically process the following data:

  • Device information (e.g. operating system, language, model)
  • Usage data (e.g. interactions with ads, gameplay behaviour)
  • IP address (e.g. for geo-location)

This data is used to provide, fund, and improve the app.

On iOS devices, an ATT prompt (App Tracking Transparency) is displayed. Device-level identification for personalised advertising only occurs with your explicit consent.

4. Legal Basis (App)

Processing for non-personalised advertising is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in funding the app through advertising). If you consent to personalised advertising, processing is additionally based on Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.

For users in the United Kingdom, the equivalent provisions of the UK GDPR apply.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses pursuant to Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR.

6. Your Rights

Under GDPR (and UK GDPR where applicable), you have the right to:

  • Access (Art. 15) your stored data
  • Rectification (Art. 16) of inaccurate data
  • Erasure (Art. 17) of your data
  • Restriction of processing (Art. 18)
  • Data portability (Art. 20)
  • Withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)) previously given, e.g. for Google Analytics
  • Object (Art. 21) to processing based on legitimate interests

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the data protection authority in your country of residence.
